A self-proclaimed Army brat, Courtney lived in Germany until moving to Texas in 2002. After receiving her degree in psychology, she worked in clinical research until 2015 when she decided to leave the corporate world to pursue a career in fitness instruction.

Courtney’s journey with yoga began in 2011 when, like many, she took classes to work out and lose weight. She quickly became passionate about vinyasa and found that yoga was so much more. Through the self-confidence gained from her practice, she decided to try aerial fitness classes and quickly found another passion.

Courtney has been teaching aerial fitness for 4 years and finds that the patience, confidence, and body awareness learned from yoga enhances her aerial teaching style. After suffering a major injury requiring reconstructive shoulder surgery in late 2016, she decided to return to her roots and pursue her yoga teacher certification.

She believes that yoga is healing for the body and the mind and loves to tie in her knowledge of human psychology with her zeal for fitness and wellness. She is certified in beginner through intermediate pole fitness, beginner aerial lyra, pole silks, and is currently completing her 200-hour yoga teacher certification under Jennifer Hensley.
